Welcome to My Latest New Rules of Travel before Train Booking Article. Amid the lockdown, the government announced to run passenger trains on Sunday. On some routes, passenger train service will start from Tuesday, May 12. For this, booking starts today (May 11) from 4 pm. But the thing to be noted for the passengers is that before cutting the ticket, see which routes will run on which routes. Currently, only 15 trains will be run.   • Booking for reservation in trains will start from 4 pm on 11 May. Booking can be done only through IRCTC website (https://www.irctc.co.in/).
  • Indian Railways said that the ticket booking window at the stations would remain closed, no counter tickets including platform tickets would be issued.
  • Air-conditioned services will start on all 15 Rajdhani trains and their fare will be same as super-fast trains.
  • These trains will run from New Delhi Railway Station and will go to Thiruvananthapuram, Madgaon, Mumbai Central, Ahmedabad, Secunderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Agartala, Howrah, Patna, Bilaspur, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Dibrugarh and Jammu-Tawi.
  • Only passengers with reserves will be allowed to enter the railway station.
  • It will be mandatory for passengers to wear masks and health check-ups at the departure point.
  • Only those people will be allowed to board the train, which will not show any signs of infection with the virus.
  • Passengers who have reserved seats in these trains must reach the railway station at least one hour before the departure time.
  • Unlike the labor trains, these trains will have bookings in all 72 seats and there is no possibility of any relaxation in their fares.
  • Shramik Special trains allow a maximum of 54 passengers to travel in one compartment.
  • 'Do's and Don'ts' will be clearly written on the tickets received during reservation. It will also include guidelines.
  • One has to reach the railway station at least one hour before.
  • Medical check-in at departure point, other protocols related to corona virus infection, must use the mask essentially
  • Have to download Arogya Setu App.
  • The train will stop at very few stations during the journey.
  • To prevent the spread of corona virus infection, passengers traveling in these trains will not be given blankets, sheets and towels etc.
  • These trains will have special rules for air conditioning, temperature will be kept slightly higher than normal days and maximum fresh air supply will be ensured within the coaches.
  • According to railway officials, services will be started in a phased manner after the lockdown ends on May 17.

Indian Railways says that after these 15 pairs of trains, special trains will run on other routes as well. It says passenger services on other routes, based on availability of coaches, after reserving 20,000 coaches as Kovid-19 care center and running about 300 workers special trains daily to transport migrant workers to the destination Will be restored.
