Two bills were introduced in Parliament on Monday by the Modi government. One was for the reorganization of Kashmir and the other was for reservation in Kashmir. They were debated in the Rajya Sabha and both these bills have passed in the House. They will be kept in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday and it will be debated. These will be given effect after passing in Lok Sabha on Tuesday. Home Minister Amit Shah also said on Monday that everything except the first section of Section 370 has been removed by order of the President.

After this, a lot has changed in Kashmir and there is a lot to change. The special state status of Jammu and Kashmir ended with Section 370. That is, Jammu and Kashmir will be a part of India like any other state whose special rights have been removed. Also, after the reorganization bill is passed in the Lok Sabha, the state will be divided into two parts - Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh. Both will be union territories. Jammu and Kashmir will have assembly while Ladakh will be a union territory without assembly.

Here we tell you directly and in simple terms what changes are going to happen in Jammu and Kashmir. What will be the way forward here, what were the earlier rules and what will be done now.

1. Earlier, the Constitution of India and the decisions or laws passed by the Indian Parliament did not apply in Article 370 of Jammu and Kashmir. The reason for this was the abolished clause of section 370. To implement them, the consent of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly had to be taken but now it will not happen. All the provisions of the Constitution and all the rules made by Parliament - Laws will apply here.

2. With Jammu and Kashmir having special status, the state government had some special powers which are no longer there.       Here the central government will now rule. Home Minister Amit Shah said that Jammu and Kashmir can be made a state              again from the Union Territory if the situation is normal.

3. Previously, a citizen known for residing in the state did not get the status of permanent citizen here and permanent citizens         got some special rights. Under Section 35A attached to Section 370, only long-term permanent citizens in Jammu and                 Kashmir could not buy property of any land here. Now all citizens will be equal here and the center will be in the hands of the    government to make rules related to buying or selling property. Earlier the state government used to give the right to be               permanent citizens.

4. Before Jammu Kashmir had a different flag but now only the Indian Tricolor flag wanders everywhere.

5. Earlier the panchayat had limited rights but now like other states here the panchayats will get all the rights.

6. The people of Jammu and Kashmir had dual citizenship. Now all citizens of India will be.

7. After marrying a woman from another woman of another woman, her citizenship of Jammu and Kashmir ended. Now all              women will be citizens of India and will retain their citizenship and rights.

8. Insulting the tricolor flag of India was not a crime, now a person doing so would be a criminal.

9. There was no right to information in Jammu and Kashmir. Now people here will have the right to information that they can file       RTI regarding government information.

10. Not everyone had the right to education till now in Jammu and Kashmir, but now all the children here will have the right to            education.
